Unattended Funeral

Our unattended funeral service is designed for those who prefer a simpler, more intimate send-off without a formal service or the presence of mourners. Often referred to as "direct cremation" or "direct burial," this option allows families to celebrate the life of their loved one in a more personal way.

Included in the cost of our unattended cremation service are the cremation and doctor's fees. For unattended burial services, please note that the plot fee and interment (digging) fee are not included.

This service comes with the York coffin and with the possibility to select alternative coffins or caskets at an additional cost.

At McDonald and Tomlin Funerals, we are committed to providing the same level of support, advice, and guidance for our unattended funeral services as we do for our attended services. We treat every individual with the same care and respect, ensuring a dignified and peaceful farewell.

On the day of the funeral, we will dress your loved one in a funeral gown and drive them directly to the crematorium or cemetery in a specialised funeral vehicle.
